Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking an entry-level Accounts Payable professional to support the Vendor Master team within the AP/P2P organization. The role involves maintaining vendor master data, assisting with 1099 reporting, and handling supplier inquiries, while ensuring controls and compliance.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1 year of experience; strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or Other Related Degree.
• 1 year related work experience.
• In lieu of Bachelor’s degree(s) and 1 year related work experience, High School/GED and 5 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vendor master records and 1099 reporting processes.
• Respond to supplier and internal customer inquiries and resolve issues.
• Maintain and validate payment files and credit card payment data.
• Support expense management processes and research data for audits.
• Perform research and root-cause analysis to support rate case requirements.
