MetaOption, LLC is seeking experienced P&C Field Services Technicians to support high‑voltage substation testing and commissioning nationwide. This road-based role involves up to 80% travel across the United States, with multi-day deployments and hands-on work in outdoor environments.

Applicants should have 3–20 years in energy environments, be proficient with protection relays (SEL/GE/Basler/Beckwith), and familiar with NFPA/IEEE/NETA standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on testing of HV/P&C systems in substations and field environments.
• Knowledge of NFPA/IEEE/NETA testing standards.
• Ability to travel up to 80% and perform multi-day deployments.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs (up to 100 lbs with assistance).
• 3–20 years in energy/utilities or electrical equipment industries.

Responsabilités

• Test and commission P&C systems at HV substations (15 kV–500 kV).
• Perform protective relay testing with Omicron/Doble/test sets across multiple relay families.
• Conduct control scheme testing, CT/PT verification, and settings uploads.
• Lead tailgate safety meetings, JHAs, and regulatory walkthroughs.
• Coordinate on-site prep, testing logistics, and deployment of equipment.
• Document field activities using digital tools and mobile apps.
• Track calibration and maintenance logs for field equipment.
