Job summary

Steadily is hiring a contracting Claims Adjuster who excels at guiding customers through the claims process with empathy, accuracy, and speed. This is a remote, independent contractor role (1099) designed for a self-driven professional who thrives under pressure and delivers a fast, easy experience for policyholders.

You’ll adjust desk file claims, request appraisals and reports, communicate across phone, text, email or mail, review estimates, and issue payments where due.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of experience adjusting P&C insurance claims.
• Must possess an adjuster license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Proficiency with computer software and online resources.

Responsibilities

• Adjust desk claim files through resolution in accordance with claims regulations and program guidelines.
• Request appraisals, estimates, cause & origin reports, and other reports for investigations.
• Communicate with customers via their preferred channel (phone, text, email, mail).
• Review estimates and reports and issue payments as owed under policy contracts.
• Maintain high-quality documentation, diary entries, and compliance with all laws and regulations.
• Write exterior estimates with high accuracy and attention to detail.
