Job summary

Steadily is seeking a contracting Claims Adjuster to guide customers through the claims process with empathy, accuracy, and speed, delivering a fast, easy, and effortless experience. You will work remotely on a 1099 basis, handling homeowners, condo, or landlord files with a focus on high-quality documentation and timely payments.

The role requires at least 2 years of P&C claims experience, an active adjuster license, and proficiency with Xactimate.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience adjusting P&C insurance claims
• Must possess an adjuster license
• Experience in homeowners, condo, or landlord insurance required
• Xactimate experience preferred
• Superior verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Adjust assigned desk claim files through resolution in accordance with applicable claims-handling regulations and program guidelines, delivering a great customer experience
• Request appraisals, estimates, cause & origin reports, and other reports to assist in the investigation of the claim
• Communicate with customers via their preferred channel (phone, text, email, mail)
• Review estimates and reports and issue payments as owed under the policy contract
• Adjust claim files with high quality, including thorough documentation and regular diary entries
• Write exterior estimates with high accuracy and attention to detail
