Job summary

Greif is seeking an Account Manager Outside Sales – New Business Development to grow our presence across the Midwest. This remote role requires frequent travel and a hunter mentality to win new logos while also managing existing relationships within the territory.

You’ll build pipeline, develop strategic plans, present proposals, and collaborate with Customer Service, Operations, and Supply Chain to deliver a strong customer experience.

Qualifications

Demonstrated hunter mentality with ability to identify and win new business.
Strong prospecting, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable working independently in a territory-based sales role.
Experience using CRM systems to manage prospects, opportunities, and forecasts.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects and new business opportunities.
Prospect, identify, pursue, and secure new customers within the assigned territory.
Develop strategic account plans to grow revenue, volume, margin, and market share.
Prepare, present, and negotiate proposals, pricing, and commercial agreements.
Manage opportunities and sales activity through CRM, including pipeline and forecasting.
Conduct customer visits, plant tours, product trials, and technical consultations to move opportunities forward.
