Health Information Associates (HIA) seeks an experienced outpatient coder for a remote position. You will code outpatient records using ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT, abstract demographics and clinical data, and maintain quality and productivity per client standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, AAPC CPC credentials preferred, and at least 3 years of ambulatory surgery coding experience. Reliable cable internet and ability to work remotely are essential.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years outpatient coding experience in an ambulatory surgery setting.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM/PCS, E/M leveling and CPT coding.
• High speed internet via cable; remote work capability.

Responsabilidades

• Codes all requested medical records using ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding.
• Abstracts, codes and assigns necessary demographic and clinical data elements.
• Maintains quality and productivity according to client requirements.
• Completes coding education within established deadlines.
• Active participation in education sessions to improve coding skills.
