Qualifications

• Certified Coding Associate (CCA) or CCS/CCS-P/COC/CPC/RHIA/RHIT within 180 days.
• Associate degree in health information administration/technology preferred.
• 1–3 years coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient's clinical documentation to assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Code outpatient services across ER, imaging, labs, and therapies.
• Serve as SME on coding topics when needed.
• Query clinicians to ensure full documentation capture.
• Coordinate with HIM, billing, and providers to resolve issues.
• Maintain quality and production statistics for the coding team.
