Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking an OSS Test & Automation Engineer to own automation workflows in our OSS platform, focusing on network operations, service assurance, and partner integration. You will design, implement, and maintain automated tests and orchestration scripts while collaborating with Service Assurance and Service Delivery teams to ensure reliability and production readiness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in automation or test engineering, preferably in telecom OSS/BSS
• Experience designing and building automation workflows, not just test scripts
• Proficiency in Python and modern test frameworks
• Familiarity with at least one workflow orchestration or BPM tool and data querying with SQL/NoSQL

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows and orchestration scripts within our OSS platform
• Own and grow the automation backlog and drive items through to production
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for nominal and edge-case conditions
• Execute test plans, document results, track defects, and drive resolution with teams
• Produce clear test documentation: plans, cases, reports, and coverage summaries
• Collaborate with Service Assurance/Delivery teams and transfer automation knowledge
• Identify automation failures and drive root-cause analysis and remediation
• Improve automation reliability, coverage, and observability in production
• Act as first-line support for OSS automated processes in production
• Maintain clear documentation for all automation workflows
