Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking an OSS & Automation Architect to bridge business stakeholders and the OSS engineering team, translating needs into precise, buildable FRs and NFRs for the OSS platform.

You will own requirements, contribute ADRs, define automation opportunities, and collaborate with Service Assurance, Service Delivery, and IT teams to map workflows, integrations, and governance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in solutions architecture, systems integration, or OSS/BSS architecture within telecom.
• Deep knowledge of OSS functions and integration with enterprise IT landscapes.
• Experience with TM Forum Open APIs, eTOM/TAM, and ITIL-aligned service management processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison for internal customers across OSS domains.
• Capture business processes, pain points, and automation opportunities for engineering hand-off.
• Translate business requirements into FRs and NFRs for engineering use.
• Contribute context to design decisions and define automation requirements for OSS workflows.
• Identify integration points between OSS and ERP/CRM/Jira.
• Define governance rules and business logic for automated decisions.
• Participate in sprint reviews and validate functionality against acceptance criteria.
• Maintain documentation of processes, decisions, and capability mappings.
