Cable One is seeking an OSP Designer II to create broadband system designs cost-effectively while adhering to Cable One standards. Under supervision, you will prepare engineering/design files using CAD or GIS software and collaborate with Technical Operations, Construction, and Engineering to maintain design and digitizing standards.

We are open to remote candidates in eligible states and offer a comprehensive benefits package for associates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 5+ years related experience; outside plan design, construction, or GIS experience preferred.
• Proficient with GIS apps such as ESRI and Schneider design software following Cable One standards.
• Strong knowledge of cable design and HFC/Fiber symbology.
• Familiarity with telecom outside plant equipment, design & construction techniques.
• Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Clear problem-solving and communication abilities.

Responsabilités

• Design new and existing HFC plant extensions.
• Perform base drafting and read walkout information.
• Update as-builts as construction progresses and release areas.
• Provide complete construction build packets with full design deliverables.
• Learn new software and adapt to new technology as needed.
• Create complex fiber splicing matrices and Lightpath circuits.
• Assess fiber availability and reinforcement requirements.
• Design major plant upgrades and perform undesigns/redesigns.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and priority.
• Support company values and drive organizational goals.
