Job summary

Cable One is seeking an OSP Designer II to create cost-effective broadband system designs while upholding Cable One standards. You will draft, update, and deliver complete design packets using CAD/GIS tools, collaborating with Technical Operations and Engineering.

The role emphasizes learning new software, handling multiple projects, and ensuring accurate as-built documentation as construction progresses. Remote work option is available for qualified candidates within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with related experience; outside plan design/Geospatial experience preferred.
• Intermediate GIS applications knowledge (ESRI) and cable design familiarity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Design new and existing HFC plant extensions.
• Perform base drafting and read walkout information accurately.
• Update as-builts as construction progresses and releases area.
• Provide complete construction build packets with full design deliverables.
• Learn new software and adapt to new technology as required.
• Create fiber splicing matrices and Lightpath circuits.
• Assess fiber availability and reinforcement requirements.
• Design major plant upgrades and redesigns as needed.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently with accuracy.
• Support the company values and contribute to team goals.
