Job summary

Aquila Corporation is seeking a skilled OSP Designer with ArcGIS Pro expertise to join our team. This primarily remote position supports design and drafting of fiber optic networks, with occasional in-person training in Batesville, IN.

Ideal candidates have CAD experience, GIS proficiency, and knowledge of OSP telecommunications infrastructure. Travel to training sites is expected about 10% of the time, and the role emphasizes accurate field-to-design integration and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro or similar GIS software is highly preferred.
• Experience with OSP design and telecommunications infrastructure.
• CAD experience.
• AI familiarity and experience.
• Database architecture and data analytics skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Discipline to produce and communicate effectively in a remote environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (10% average).

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and draft OSP fiber optic networks using ArcGIS Pro.
• Generate as-builts from field data captured by construction personnel.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create detailed plans, layouts, and schematics.
• Analyze and interpret field data to ensure accurate design implementation.
• Support field activities as needed, ensuring seamless integration of designs into realworld applications.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and reports for projects.
