Job summary

A healthcare provider is seeking an Experienced Orthopedic Spine Surgical Coordinator for a full-time remote position. Responsibilities include scheduling surgeries, obtaining medical clearances, and coordinating with vendors. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in surgical coordination, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a strong understanding of medical terminology. This role is key in ensuring successful surgical outcomes both pre- and post-operatively.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with surgical coordinating for Orthopedic Spine.
• Excellent computer, telephone, and typing skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records, and medical coding.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for surgery and obtain medical clearance.
• Coordinate with facilities and vendors for surgery preparations.
• Maintain organized tracking of surgeries and health orders.
• Handle telephones and emails regarding surgical scheduling.
• Obtain medical records for pre-op as per HIPAA guidelines.
