Job summary

Venon Solutions LLC seeks a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to support production Oracle databases, optimize performance, and manage upgrades in a globally distributed environment. The role emphasizes strong SQL, data migration, and ETL capabilities, with English fluency and Spanish or Portuguese as a bonus.

You will join a U.S.-based client in pharma, with 100% remote work and EST hours. Long-term independent contractor arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as an Oracle Database Administrator with production support.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle 12c–19c.
• Experience upgrades 12c → 19c and performance tuning.
• Data migration and ETL experience, plus PostgreSQL/MongoDB familiarity.
• Excellent English communication; native Spanish or Portuguese.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day production support and admin for Oracle databases.
• Monitor health, availability, performance, and capacity; troubleshoot incidents.
• Perform performance tuning of SQL, indexes, and server configs.
• Develop SQL queries and objects; participate in upgrades and migrations.
• Support data migration/ETL and work with PostgreSQL/MongoDB as needed.
