Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven Oracle DBA experience and PostgreSQL administration.
• Strong Linux system administration skills and shell scripting.
• Experience with backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Ability to work independently in a remote EU environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Oracle and PostgreSQL databases for critical applications.
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity; tune databases for reliability.
• Manage installations, configurations, upgrades, patches, and migrations.
• Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
• Configure Oracle GoldenGate replication and ensure data consistency.
• Develop automation scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Maintain database security, access controls, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on database design and optimization.
• Document configurations, procedures, and operational standards.
