Job summary

TeAM, Inc. is seeking an Oracle Specialist Mid-Level+ Database Administrator to support GPO DBA environments remotely. The role emphasizes Oracle database administration, RMAN backups, patching, RAC, Data Guard, and security baselines in line with IT policies.

Collaboration with Senior DBAs and cross-team stakeholders is required. Applicants should have 4+ years of enterprise Oracle experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a federal-focused environment.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years' experience administering enterprise Oracle database environments.
• Experience with Oracle (12c/19c or current).
• Experience with RMAN for backup and recovery operations.
• Experience with patching, server maintenance, and upgrade execution in Oracle environments.
• Experience with database backup and restore operations, including validation and testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot Oracle database issues and escalate complex problems appropriately.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with all levels of staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier-2/3 troubleshooting, configuration, and routine support for Oracle Database environments (single-instance and RAC).
• Support Oracle database solutions including backup/recovery operations, schema management, patching, upgrades, and integration with applications.
• Execute backup and restore operations, validate restore integrity, and support PITR procedures.
• Implement security baselines, encryption configurations, and auditing per IT policies.
• Respond to RFCs and incidents via ticketing system to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Senior Oracle DBA on builds, upgrades, and integration efforts (SharePoint, business systems).
• Proactively monitor capacity and health, identify trends, and escalate anomalies.
• Provide database maintenance on on-prem and cloud environments; apply patches and validate stability.
• Produce weekly reports detailing activities, accomplishments, and risks.
