Strategic Data Systems, Inc. (SDS) is hiring an Oracle Data Engineer in Cincinnati, OH with remote USA option. You will design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines and data warehouses across multiple source systems, ensuring data quality and timely delivery.

You will work with Oracle SQL/PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting, Git, Snowflake and DBT, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business data needs while supporting deployments and automation.

Qualifications

• Expert-level PL/SQL with complex packages, materialized views, performance tuning.
• Strong Oracle DB Engineering including schema design, query optimization, indexing and partitioning.
• Linux/Shell Scripting & Bash for building scripts, automating ETL, and scheduling dependencies.
• SQL, ETL, Data Warehousing with strong data model understanding, orchestration and pipelines.
• Agile Delivery with sprint participation, estimates, and delivering high-quality increments.
• Table/ETL Scheduling Dependencies with familiarity of job schedulers (Control-M, Autosys, etc.).
• Strong Communication with monthly stakeholder presentations, status updates and risk reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and data warehouse processes across multiple source systems.
• Build and enhance data integration workflows, data validation, reconciliation, and resolve data quality issues.
• Provide production support by monitoring jobs, troubleshooting failures, and ensuring timely data delivery.
• Manage deployments and change requests, and continuously improve process reliability, automation, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business data needs and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
