Job summary

SDS, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer - Datastage ETL I in Cincinnati, OH. The role requires 2–4 years of experience, a technical degree or equivalent, and hands-on work with Datastage, Snowflake, and ETL pipelines.

You will design, implement, and optimize scalable data management systems, collaborating with data architects and IT teams to deliver reliable data solutions for Fortune 100 clients. A strong focus on data quality and governance is expected.

Qualifications

Technical degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, etc.).
Experience programming and/or architecting a back end language (Java, J2EE, etc).

Responsibilities

Design, construct, install, test and maintain data management systems.
Build high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes.
Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
Integrate data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures.
Develop data mining, data modeling, and data production processes.
Create custom software components and analytics applications.
Research new use cases for existing data.
Collaborate with data architects, IT and data scientists on project goals.
Install/update disaster recovery procedures.
Improve data reliability and quality continuously.
