Job summary

Parallon is hiring an Operating Room Scheduling Coordinator Float. This remote role covers three Florida regions (Miami, Palm Beach, Broward) with a Monday–Friday schedule. You will manage daily surgical schedules, coordinate with physician offices and OR teams, and ensure accurate records and efficient utilization of OR time.

The role requires a high school diploma and healthcare scheduling experience, preferably in a surgical/OR setting. Benefits and ongoing professional support are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in healthcare scheduling preferred, especially in a surgical/OR setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures to optimize OR time and resources.
• Greet and engage with physician office staff, surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing teams and other staff to verify schedules and resolve conflicts.
• Maintain accurate records of surgical schedules, patient information and OR utilization.
• Monitor and adjust schedules for emergencies, cancellations and patient status changes.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and inefficiencies; communicate resolutions and drive workflow improvements.
• Participate in daily Look-Ahead meetings to preempt cancellations and delays.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements for scheduling.
• Provide administrative support to the surgical services department (data entry, reporting, record keeping).
• Contribute to departmental meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
