Job summary

Prism Vision Group is seeking a remote Virtual Clinical Assistant to support a busy ophthalmology practice. You will perform real-time scribing, document ophthalmic findings, and help streamline clinical workflows while ensuring patient confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has ophthalmology experience, expertise with EHR/EMR, and excellent English communication. A quiet home office and reliable internet are required to enable seamless remote collaboration.

Qualifications

Experience in General Ophthalmology and/or Retina (min. 3 years).
Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR).
Strong English communication; 60+ WPM preferred; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time medical scribing during patient encounters, capturing HPI, ROS, exam findings, diagnoses, and plans.
Document ophthalmic testing, imaging findings, injections, laser procedures, and surgical planning in the EHR.
Maintain complete, accurate medical records meeting quality standards and support clinical decisions.
Prepare detailed visit summaries and finalize charts promptly to support workflows and patient care.
Communicate clearly with physicians and healthcare team via secure messaging to coordinate workflows.
Uphold HIPAA by safeguarding PHI and handling documentation securely.
Perform additional administrative or clinical tasks as needed.
