Job summary

Lumen is seeking an Operations Technician II to support PSCC customers in a remote role within the United States. The position requires handling complex network issues, coordinating through tickets, and participating in 24/7 shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in network operations, experience with DWDM transport equipment, and proficiency in tools like SolarWinds and RFM. A remote-friendly role with nationwide eligibility is offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education and relevant experience; minimum 3+ years in the related area.
• Experience supporting optical DWDM transport equipment and related networks.
• Technical certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supports Network Operations Center and Repair activities for PSCC customers.
• Resolves complex network problems involving network hardware, fiber, colo space and power.
• Uses software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose network, hardware, and software problems for PSCC customers; conducts complex network monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
• Provides high quality communication to customers via Ticket System, Phone, Email, and IM/Chat; manages time efficiently and documents actions in the ticket system.
