Job summary

Bentley Systems is seeking a Resident Consultant to join the OpenRoads Designer (ORD) expertise team embedded with the Louisiana Department of Transportation. You will coach, train, and support the DOT on ORD configurations and civil design workflows, ensuring alignment with statewide standards.

The ideal candidate brings ORD and MicroStation proficiency, strong communication skills, and experience creating training materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent
• 5 years of ORD and MicroStation experience
• Familiarity with drainage, survey and bridge design is a plus
• Experience with infrastructure projects and transportation workflows
• Experience configuring Bentley workspaces
• Knowledge of Bentley Workspaces as they relate to ProjectWise
• Experience creating training materials or recording training videos
• Excellent command of English for recording videos and teaching live classes

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching, training, and support for Bentley ORD and related civil design apps
• Configure Bentley applications to meet DOT standards and workflows
• Collaborate with Louisiana DOT to define requirements and develop statewide training materials
• Deliver training resources and workflows for statewide rollout
• Remote, home-based position with regular on-site visits to Baton Rouge (minimum four per year)
