Job summary

OpenTrain AI is seeking independent contractors to join our remote team and help shape the next generation of AI coding tools. You will work on real tasks, with flexible hours and payment per accepted task, choosing under 20 hours a week alongside your current commitments.

You'll review and refine open source code, diagnose tough bugs, and document your reasoning for each decision. This is highly technical, requires strong coding judgment and clear English communication, and lets you influence

Qualifications

• Professional fluency in English and clear written communication.
• Expertise in Python and other listed languages.
• Experience reviewing code and debugging complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine features in established open source codebases
• Diagnose complex bugs and write efficient solutions
• Review proposed changes for behavior, output consistency, maintainability, and engineering quality
• Refactor and speed up older code, then document your design decisions and reasoning in clear technical notes
