Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC seeks a Florida-based online K–12 teacher for the Virtual Preparatory Academy of Florida. This role requires serving as the teacher of record, delivering live lessons, and managing courses within the LMS from a statewide online platform.

Travel to support in-person state testing and student events is required several times per year. Candidates must hold a valid Florida teaching license and be prepared to work in a growth-oriented, culturally responsive environment.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ experience teaching.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in all core content areas and grade levels.
• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference based on student need, rooted in research-based instructional practices.
• Complete course setup for each course within the Learning Management System.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback/grade assignments daily.
• Track and maintain contact with each student.
• Collaborate with Principal to create and deliver Progress Reports of Students.
• Review student level data frequently to inform instructional program adjustments.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child.
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually.
