Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking an online adjunct faculty member for the College of Education. You will deliver online instruction across education programs, using innovative teaching methods and current industry trends to shape student outcomes.

Responsibilities include facilitating discussions, assessing performance, and guiding students toward leadership roles while meeting grading timelines and maintaining the university’s mission and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Master’s in Education and 2 areas of exceptional expertise.
• Must hold a valid state teacher certification in elementary education and a minimum of three years of elementary classroom teaching or equivalent roles.
• At least six graduate credits in educational psychology, human development, or child psychology.

Responsibilities

• Equipping students with the required skill set.
• Facilitating classroom discussions.
• Assessing student performance.
• Preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.
• Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom.
• Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes.
• Respond to students’ questions and emails within established timeframes.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
