Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Representative to drive growth in the Richmond/Southern Virginia territory. You will educate stakeholders, build relationships, and execute strategic plans to meet sales goals while advancing patient care.

The role requires 25% travel, a valid driver's license, and residency within the territory or nearby. Remote work options are available, with a strong focus on account management and cross-functional collaboration across Oncology teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of sales experience OR high school diploma with at least 8 years of equivalent experience.
• Oncology or healthcare field experience preferred, with strong sales background.
• Willingness to travel including overnight travel 10–15% and 25% travel overall as needed.
• Residency within the district or nearby.

Responsibilities

• Attain or exceed the assigned sales goals for the geography.
• Meet with key stakeholders to understand practice structure and needs.
• Communicate product value and patient-centered rationale to oncology customers.
• Collaborate with the Oncology Customer Team Leader and other roles to ensure seamless customer experiences.
