Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a remote Research and Development Intern to join our Oncology Medical Team. This internship offers a 20-hour workweek and exposure to clinical testing processes, molecular techniques, and data analysis in a supportive laboratory setting.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in biology- or related-degree programs with 3–6 months experience in Next Generation Sequencing and hands-on lab exposure; the role will collaborate with the San Diego team while working remotely.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Biology, Chemistry, Genetics or Biological Science.
• Previous and/or active Labcorp Internship required.

Responsibilities

• Learn about clinical testing and processing behind testing development.
• Learn molecular techniques, including Next Generation Sequencing.
• Assist in complex data analysis and writing assignments.
• Apply critical thinking skills to experimental results.
• Communicate findings at laboratory meetings.
