Job summary

Labcorp is offering a remote Research and Development Intern role on the Oncology Medical Team. You will work 20 hours per week, supporting the team in developing Oncology assays and exploring molecular testing capabilities from San Diego, CA.

The position targets students in biology/chemistry and emphasizes learning Next Generation Sequencing, data analysis and collaborative communication in a clinical research setting with benefits typical for interns.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Biology, Chemistry, Genetics or Biological Science.
• Previous and/or active Labcorp Internship required.
• Preferred experience with Next Generation Sequencing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Learn about clinical testing and processing behind testing development.
• Learn molecular techniques, including Next Generation Sequencing.
• Assist in complex data analysis and writing assignments.
• Apply critical thinking skills to experimental results.
• Communicate findings at laboratory meetings.
