Job summary

Hungryroot is seeking a proactive Systems Operations Support Analyst to back our fulfillment platform during off-hours. You'll monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure smooth operations across logs, databases, APIs, and application code.

You'll work mostly remote anywhere in the US, with Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm EST hours, and occasional on-call weekends. The role emphasizes curiosity, problem-solving, and clear English communication while collaborating with engineering to improve

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software engineering or systems support (WMS/OMS).
• Experience supporting fulfillment and supply chain systems.
• Intermediate SQL skills for data analysis.
• Experience with JSON APIs.
• Ability to investigate using logs, databases, and code.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide off-hours production support for the fulfillment platform and related integrations.
• Monitor system health and respond to alerts during on-call hours.
• Investigate issues across logs, databases, APIs, and code to determine root cause.
• Develop and maintain small Python scripts for automation.
• Update runbooks and incident documentation to improve response quality.
• Escalate high-severity issues with clear impact and recommended steps.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve system reliability and monitoring.
