AECOM is seeking experienced On-Call Paleontologists to join our U.S. West Rockies Environmental Planning and Permitting team. This remote, part-time on-call role has variable hours based on project-based needs.

Ideal candidates are located in Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Montana or Colorado regions and must be able to travel across the Western US. Duties include fieldwork, vertebrate/invertebrate fossil identification to genus- or species-level, field monitoring, and strong writing and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in paleontology or related field such as geology or biology.
• 2 years of relevant paleontological fieldwork and technical reporting experience or equivalent.
• Outdoor activity may involve walking/trekking on uneven terrain in extreme weather for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Paleontological fieldwork experience in Western US.
• Taxonomic identification of vertebrate and/or invertebrate fossils to genus- or species-level for various projects.
• Expertise in field monitoring operations.
• Strong, concise writing, research and data management skills.
• Ability to travel and conduct fieldwork throughout Western US.
