Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and govern OCI workloads in a multi-cloud government setting for 70+ tenants. You will act as the technical authority for OCI, translating mission requirements into secure, scalable cloud architectures.

The ideal candidate has deep OCI expertise, strong federal security knowledge, and the ability to mentor engineers and liaise with government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years cloud engineering or architecture experience with demonstrated depth in OCI.
• Experience with FedRAMP, FISMA, and federal security requirements as applied to OCI deployments.
• U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust Security Clearance (Entry on Duty).
• Strong communication, analytical, and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain OCI reference architectures for compute, networking, storage, databases, and identity management aligned with government security and compliance requirements.
• Lead tenant onboarding patterns, compartment hierarchies, and resource isolation strategies within OCI.
• Evaluate and recommend OCI services and design patterns to meet evolving program requirements while maintaining FedRAMP and FISMA compliance.
• Define and enforce architectural standards, naming conventions, and tagging strategies across the OCI estate.
• Architect and oversee OCI infrastructure including Compute, Block/Object Storage, VCN, Autonomous Database, OKE, and Functions.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tooling.
• Lead capacity planning, cost optimization, and resource governance across OCI compartments and tenancies.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex OCI infrastructure incidents.
