Job summary

LightFeather IO LLC is seeking an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize OCI solutions for federal-facing workloads. The role emphasizes security, compliance, and scalable architectures, with IaC automation using Terraform and Ansible.

The position is hybrid in Washington, D.C., requiring four onsite days per week and one remote day, and offers a $160,000–$180,000 salary with active clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, including at least two years with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of OCI compute, storage, IAM, networking, and database services.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with cloud security, compliance, and monitoring solutions.
• Familiarity with OKE and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services (compute, networking, storage, databases).
• Configure and maintain VCNs, subnets, gateways, and load balancers for mission-critical apps.
• Implement cloud security practices aligned with federal frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
• Develop and maintain IaC scripts using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Monitor performance, optimize costs, and ensure high availability across OCI.
• Troubleshoot OCI issues and provide escalation support as needed.
• Collaborate with security, development, and operations on migrations and modernization.
• Maintain documentation for cloud architectures, configurations, and processes.
