Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Health Program Analyst to oversee CMARC/CMHRP programs, analyze performance data, and guide quality outcomes in NC. The role will partner with OB providers, LHDs, CINs, and DHHS/DPH leadership to drive improvements and ensure contractual compliance.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working with maternity populations (OB provider, OB clinic setting OR local health departments)
  • 2+ years of experience with data analysis, systems analysis, graphical display of data/information, public speaking, group leadership and facilitation, and problem solving skills
  • 2+ years of experience working with Medicaid population
  • 2+ years of experience creating presentations and working with data to present information to physicians, administrators, providers and community partners
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Role requires travel to locally up to 75% of the time and may require travel up to 2 hours away from residence

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and performance evaluation through continuous monitoring and analysis of CMARC/CMHRP program requirements and development of strategies based on performance analysis
  • Regularly facilitate efficient meetings with the CMARC/CMHRP programs to monitor, present, and discuss progress towards program requirements
  • Provide ongoing support and develop recommended actions to assist OB providers and LHD CMARC/CMHRP Programs in achieving contractual requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with OB Providers, CMARC/CMHRP programs, LHD practice leadership and clinical influencers involved in practice transformation
  • Serve as liaison and clinical resource to foster relationships and communication with CINs, internal UHC teams, external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with DHHS and DPH leadership for CMARC/CMHRP programs to ensure policies and outcomes
  • Consult with internal UHC partners and the practice to identify challenges hindering performance and quality
  • Provide education to promote quality and cost-effective outcomes (PMP, best practices, population health)
  • Use quality improvement principles to assist LHD and OB providers and assess trends in quality measures
  • Analyze data to identify problems, patterns, and high-risk activities
  • Facilitate discussions on data visualization strategies and data sharing/management
  • Cross-collaborate with quality, AMH, provider relation teams for needs
  • Facilitate Joint Operational Committee with external care management partners
  • Represent Health Plan at community events and outreach activities
