Job summary

TerraPower in Kemmerer, WY seeks an Operations Training Manager to lead the development of operations training programs for the Natrium Demonstration Project. You will manage instructors, coordinate with departments and regulators, and drive accreditation and continuous improvement of training.

The role requires implementing SAT-based curricula, ensuring regulatory compliance, and aligning training with plant design changes and procedures. Strong writing and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Senior Reactor Operator license or LWR certification preferred.
• At least 5 years licensed operator training experience OR experience as an Operations Shift Manager at a nuclear plant.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of SAT and regulatory guidance (NRC/INPO).

Responsibilities

• Develops training processes, programs, and procedures for a new training department ensuring compliance with NRC regulations and INPO criteria.
• Develops and executes a strategy for initial accreditation of training programs.
• Uses the SAT methodology to develop high-quality training curricula for maintenance and technical personnel.
• Revises training programs to reflect plant design changes and updates to procedures.
• Participates in the Training Curriculum Review Committee and coordinates with management and regulators to improve training.
• Prepares trainee examinations and evaluations for classroom, lab, OJT, and simulator environments.
