Job summary

System One is seeking a Project Engineer, Nuclear QA to support client projects by representing quality assurance in planning, coordination, and execution related to nuclear QA. You will act as the QA liaison between the QA team and internal/external stakeholders, developing traceability matrices and managing first-of-a-kind issues.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor of Science in a technical field and at least 8 years in QA, with familiarity in ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a technical field from an accredited college/university.
• 8+ years in quality assurance with broad responsibilities, including leading quality efforts on large projects and developing requirement traceability matrices.
• Familiarity with ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21; ISO 9001 and other quality standards are a plus.
• Eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.
• Ability to communicate effectively via phone, in person, and using computers; travel locally and nationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support projects by representing QA in planning, coordination, and execution related to nuclear QA.
• Serve as a central QA liaison between teams and stakeholders for quality and process issues.
• Develop and maintain quality requirements traceability matrices for project activities.
• Manage first-of-a-kind issues and adapt to evolving project demands while reflecting quality in work plans.
• Identify project issues, elevate as needed, and coordinate cross-functional quality activities.
• Develop and implement processes and procedures for efficient project quality operations.
• Support project risk assessment and mitigation activities.
• Coordinate quality responses to customer information requests and marketing activities.
• Engage with project teams and management to manage cross-functional quality interfaces.
