NEO Philanthropy in NYC seeks a Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team, handling financial and grants management for Project Partnerships and related projects.

You will prepare monthly reports, support budgeting, grant reporting, and journal entries while collaborating with program staff and departments.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in budgeting and financial reporting, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of nonprofit accounting in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2–3 years of budgeting and financial reporting experience.
• High proficiency in Excel required.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, preferably nonprofit.
• Knowledge of nonprofit grant accounting preferred.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical ability.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate cross‑functionally.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare monthly financial reports for Project Partnerships (PJP) projects including budget‑to‑actuals, GL detail, encumbrance reports, and other schedules.
• Support monthly reporting packages for Collaborative Funds and Strategic Partnership projects.
• Ensure high‑quality financial reports are accurate and timely.
• Create ad hoc financial reports for NEO’s programs and departments.
• Update grant data in NetSuite weekly and prepare grant reporting packages.
