Job summary

Talentify is seeking an FP&A Specialist to support grant management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for a national nonprofit. You will partner with Finance, Development, and Program teams to manage grant budgets and ensure nonprofit compliance.

The role offers a fully remote work arrangement, with exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional collaboration across the organization. Strong Excel, GAAP knowledge, and 1–2+ years in nonprofit FP&A are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-2+ years nonprofit finance, FP&A, or grant accounting experience.
• Experience with grant budgeting, financial reporting, and nonprofit compliance.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Experience with Financial Edge preferred; Martus budgeting software is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage grant budgets, reporting, and compliance for foundation, government, and private funding.
• Prepare budget-to-actual reports, forecasts, variance analyses, and financial models.
• Partner with Development on grant proposals and funder budgets.
• Support annual budgeting and ongoing financial planning across multiple entities.
• Prepare journal entries, maintain staff allocations, and support month-end reporting.
• Assist with budgeting systems, financial reporting tools, and audit preparation.
• Collaborate with budget owners and leadership to monitor financial performance.
