Job summary

Carey & Co is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support nonprofit clients remotely. You will record transactions, reconcile accounts, and handle payables/receivables to keep books accurate and on schedule.

The role emphasizes multi-client management, strong organizational skills, and adherence to GAAP principles. A degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus, and experience in nonprofit accounting is beneficial.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of bookkeeping or transactional accounting experience.
• Experience managing books for multiple entities or clients is a plus.
• Familiarity with nonprofit accounting (restricted funds, grants) and basic GAAP allowed.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel; Sage Intacct is a plus; ProAdvisor certification is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Record transactions and code expenses for nonprofit clients.
• Process vendor bills, invoices, deposits, and balances.
