Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking a Non-QM Underwriter to evaluate complex loan files and ensure compliance with investor guidelines from a remote location in the United States. You will underwrite Non-QM and Non-Agency products, manage a steady pipeline, issue clear decisions to internal teams, and work with post-closing on stipulations.

Strong communication and Encompass LOS experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education/experience.
• 4+ years mortgage underwriting experience.
• Experience with Non-QM and Non-Agency underwriting.
• Experience with manual underwriting.
• Knowledge of compliance and disclosure requirements.
• Encompass LOS experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Non-QM and Non-Agency loan products.
• Maintain an underwriting pipeline meeting SLAs.
• Evaluate loan files for accuracy and compliance with investor guidelines.
• Issue loan decisions to sales and operations staff clearly.
• Collaborate with Post-Closing on stipulations for closed files.
• Communicate with lenders, investors, and internal teams to ensure smooth processing.
