Job summary

Jet HomeLoans, LP is a National Mortgage Lender seeking a Non-QM Underwriter to assess complex non-qualified mortgage loan applications and manage a dedicated pipeline. The role covers underwriting non-QM loans, ensuring salable loans, and staying current with investor/insurer guidelines.

Responsibilities include analyzing income/assets, calculating income types, interacting with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely closings while meeting KPI metrics and policy requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on Non-QM mortgage underwriting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Non-QM investor guidelines, bank-statement programs and alternative income documentation.
• Experience evaluating complex borrower scenarios and making independent underwriting decisions within established guidelines and approval authority.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Non-QM loans, including bank-statement and other alternative-documentation programs.
• Ensure loans conform to investor and insurer guidelines and are salable.
• Maintain awareness of latest investor and insurer guidelines.
• Analyze borrower income, assets, and credit; compute income.
• Close loans on a timely basis and meet KPI metrics.
• Communicate with sales, processing, underwriting, closing, and compliance teams.
• Respond to QA/QC reviews and report gaps to leadership.
