Job summary

Bay Business Group in the Mid-Atlantic region seeks detail-oriented non-profit accountants to manage bookkeeping for multiple clients and provide timely financial reporting.

Youll oversee day-to-day accounting, prepare statements, reconcile accounts, handle payroll, and support budgeting, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and client service. This is a REMOTE role with competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in non-profit or fund accounting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software.
• Experience managing multiple clients.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work during normal business hours to support clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Process payroll and ensure tax compliance.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with client projects.
• Assist with year-end close and tax filings as needed.
