Job summary

Bluelight is a leading software consultancy expanding across the Americas. We are seeking a senior backend-focused engineer to design and build low-latency API services in AWS, using Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

You will contribute across the stack and work on scalable, secure multi-tenant systems. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend experience, strong testing practices, and the ability to overlap US business hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend-focused software development experience.
• Strong Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript skills.
• Experience building low-latency APIs in AWS.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and SDK integrations.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and RLS.
• Experience with secure multi-tenant environments.
• Proficient writing raw SQL and migrations (node-postgres).
• Professional React experience and full-stack capability.
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.
