Job summary

MUSC Health seeks a full-time Program Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations for an NIH-funded REMOTELY DELIVERED behavioral trial aimed at reducing stress among caregivers of persons with mild cognitive impairment or early-stage Alzheimer's disease. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant program experience.
• Experience coordinating NIH-funded clinical, behavioral, or community-based research.
• Experience with longitudinal or remotely delivered intervention studies.
• Experience working with caregivers, older adults, or dementia-related research.
• Experience with REDCap, including e-consent, survey workflows, data-quality review, and reporting.
• Experience with regulatory submissions, sIRB/reliance activities, adverse-event tracking, and protocol deviations.
• Experience developing study SOPs, workflows, checklists, and training materials.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and independent project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• 25% - Recruitment, Screening, Consent, and Enrollment: Coordinate IRB-approved recruitment activities with clinical, community, and research partners.
• Respond to prospective participants and conduct protocol-approved prescreening and eligibility procedures, including FAST and PAR-Q+ procedures.
• Conduct informed-consent activities when trained and delegated.
• Maintain screening, recruitment, enrollment, withdrawal, and retention records.
• Monitor recruitment and enrollment metrics and identify barriers for PI review.
• 20% - Participant Operations and Retention: Serve as primary operational contact for study participants.
• Coordinate baseline, intervention, post-intervention, and six-month follow-up activities.
• Provide protocol-approved instructions, schedules, materials, intervention access, reminders, and retention support.
• Track missed assessments, withdrawals, technology concerns, and participant-reported barriers.
• Coordinate facilitated intervention sessions and qualitative interviews with study personnel.
• 20% - Regulatory and Study Management: Maintain regulatory and study documentation; track deadlines.
• Prepare regulatory materials, amendments, personnel changes, and reportable-event documentation for PI review.
• Coordinate sIRB/reliance documentation and communication with collaborating centers.
• Coordinate study meetings, agendas, action items, and follow-up.
• Support NIH progress reporting and ClinicalTrials.gov activities.
• 15% - REDCap and Data Quality: Develop, test, and maintain REDCap instruments and workflows.
• Maintain electronic case report forms and participant tracking systems.
• Conduct routine data-quality reviews; identify missing or discrepant data; resolve queries.
• Maintain reports for recruitment, retention, assessment, intervention, compensation, safety.
• Support data-sharing, data documentation, and deidentification processes.
• 10% - Participant Safety and Quality Assurance: Document adverse events and protocol deviations; elevate safety concerns.
• Maintain adverse-event and corrective-action tracking records.
• Coordinate internal QA reviews and materials for safety officer review.
• Track monitoring findings and corrective actions through resolution.
• 5% - Participant Compensation and Study Resources: Reconcile participant compensation.
• Coordinate study materials, equipment, and supplies; identify resource needs.
