Job summary

Capitex is hiring Junior Fraud Analysts for a remote, short-term contract to support the Digital Fraud Operations team of a leading bank in the Middle East. You will join a shift-based team covering evening and overnight hours, monitoring and responding to suspicious activity across the bank's digital channels.

You will be the first line of defence protecting customers from fraud out of hours. Requirements include 1–3 years in fraud operations, experience triaging alerts, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in fraud operations within banking, payments or fintech.
• Experience triaging fraud alerts and making genuine/fraud decisions.
• Understanding of card fraud, account takeover and APP scams.
• Experience using a fraud detection or case management system.
• Comfortable speaking with customers by phone.
• Strong attention to detail and concise case notes.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Available to work evening and overnight shifts on a rota.
• Reliable home workspace with stable internet and quiet setup.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage real-time fraud alerts across card, online and mobile channels.
• Review flagged transactions to identify genuine fraud and close false positives.
• Contact customers to verify suspicious transactions per procedures.
• Take protective action, such as blocking cards or holding payments.
• Escalate complex cases to L2 analysts per protocols.
• Record clear case notes on the case management system.
• Spot emerging fraud patterns and flag them to the team.
• Provide structured shift handovers to ensure continuity.
• Meet alert handling SLAs and quality standards.
