Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Neurology Surgery Coding experience (IP and OP)
• CPC certification from AAPC
• EMR experience
• Must maintain credential throughout employment
• Able to work independently and multi‑task with good communication

Responsibilities

• Code surgical cases in Neurology Surgery with ICD-10 and CPT/CPT‑HCPCS codes
• Maintain knowledge of ICD-10-CM guidelines, CPT rules, and payer requirements
• Ensure services documented are coded accurately and seek documentation when missing
• Maintain 95% accuracy and productivity targets; manage review queue daily
• Communicate re‑bill needs and corrections per facility guidelines
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and use Guidehouse coding resources daily
