Job summary

William & Mary invites applications for a 3-year, non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor of Neuroscience with a focus on cellular or molecular neuroscience. The appointment begins August 10, 2027, in the Integrated Science Center, offering a 3-3 teaching load and potential for renewal and promotion within the Teaching Faculty Framework.

The successful applicant will teach introductory and advanced neuroscience courses, mentor undergraduates, and contribute to the curriculum. A Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Biology or closely related discipline.
• Applicants must have completed 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline in which they will teach.
• Ability to teach courses in Neuroscience such as the introductory class, “Exploring Neuroscience: Molecules, Cells and Synapses,” and other lecture/seminar courses in cellular and molecular neuroscience.
• Ability to contribute to mentoring undergraduate Neuroscience majors.
