Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Network Technician to install and decommission networks at new facilities, manage CCTV, access control, and security systems, and perform troubleshooting. The role requires working at heights, including from lifts, and willingness to obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities include wiring CAT5/6 and fiber, testing networks, installing security subsystems, and coordinating with IT teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of related experience.
• Experience installing/testing/replacing CAT5/6 or fiber.
• Knowledge of basic network architecture (firewalls, switches, access points).
• 1 year experience with CCTV systems, NVRs, cameras; Eagle Eye preferred.
• VLANs and wireless technology knowledge.
• 1 year experience with access control systems (Kantech/Brivo preferred).
• Basic security systems understanding (Keypass preferred).
• Able to operate lift and forklift; MEI will provide training.
• Work at heights up to 75 feet; travel possible.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, or repair CAT5/6 and fiber optic cables and network systems.
• Perform network maintenance as needed.
• Certifications for forklift/scissor lifts preferred or willingness to obtain within first year.
• Test electrical circuits or components.
• Install CCTV systems, cameras, and security systems.
• Conduct site surveys and determine required tools/equipment.
• Install programs on computers or equipment.
• Coordinate with Help Desk and IT teams on tickets and projects.
