Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Network Systems Packet Lead to oversee the transition of program network systems, including network operations and service desk, ensuring a seamless and compliant handoff under satellite bandwidth constraints.

The role requires US citizenship, a degree in IT/CS or related field, and 5+ years in network operations, with strong documentation and coordination skills to support mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Requires US citizenship and ability to pass a NACI background check.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, Telecommunications, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network operations, telecommunications, IT, systems administration, or related functions.
• Experience organizing and maintaining technical documentation and records.
• Strong organizational, project coordination, and documentation management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, organization, and management of Network Systems transition packets.
• Coordinate collection, review, validation, and transfer of network documentation, configurations, diagrams, inventories, and procedures.
• Collaborate with network engineers, system admins, and SMEs to document current-state network architecture and services.
• Track transition deliverables, milestones, risks, actions, and dependencies.
• Ensure network documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date per document control practices.
• Assist in documenting network monitoring, incident response, cybersecurity, and continuity procedures.
• Prepare transition reports, status updates, metrics, and leadership briefings.
