Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join one of our clients in a fully remote capacity. The role will focus on securing enterprise applications and the network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on firewall engineering, traffic management, and incident response.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate or Palo Alto Networks, firewall rule configuration, VPNs, cloud networking, and knowledge of IDS/IPS, WAF, SIEM, and Zero Trust concepts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies (Fortinet FortiGate or Palo Alto Networks).
• Experience configuring firewall rules, security policies, NAT, VPNs, and network access controls.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, segmentation, ports/protocols, and traffic flows.
• Experience troubleshooting application connectivity across network boundaries.
• Experience implementing firewall changes following security/change-management best practices.
• Ability to analyze network traffic and identify security risks.
• Excellent cross-team communication across application, infrastructure, networking, and security teams.
• Experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto; Panorama experience; FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer.
• Experience with cloud networking and security in AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS, WAF, SIEM, Zero Trust, and SASE.
• Security certifications such as PCNSE, Fortinet certs, Security+, CISSP, CCNP Security.

Responsibilities

• Secure enterprise applications and network infrastructure with emphasis on firewall engineering and traffic management.
• Administer and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls (Fortinet FortiGate or Palo Alto).
