Job summary

Lumen Technologies is seeking an Operations Technician III for the Public Sector to support US Government networks from the Denver area. The role is on the 3rd shift (9:30 pm – 7:30 am MT) and requires US citizenship and security clearance eligibility.

You will handle DWDM transport, IP/MPLS networks, and circuit management within a government-focused NOC. Applicants should have 5+ years in optical transport, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience with multiple vendor platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in optical long-haul and metro transport networks
• Experience troubleshooting Layer 1 backbone equipment and fiber
• Experience with multiple optical vendor platforms (Infinera, Ciena, Cisco, Lucent, Fujitsu)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to network alarms and perform restoration
• Manage circuits (T1–100Gb) and activate new networks
• Coordinate with fiber vendors and government customers
• Analyze performance data and develop design optimization plans
• Interface with management and customers on complex technical matters
